I am a tween and teen librarian and I love being asked about great books to read! I also review books for TeensReadToo.com When I'm not found with a book in my hands I'm most likely reading blogs-I'm addicted. The opinions and content of this blog are my own and are not that of my library system. My blog content is my own and not that of any committee or organization I'm involved in. A Note to Authors/Publishers: I would be happy to read and review your book. If I you have a book that you would like to share with me, please contact me at greenbeanteenqueen (at) gmail (dot) com.

In My Mailbox

>> Sunday, March 15, 2009

In My Mailbox was started by The Story Siren!
So I had a really slow week and was feeling really sad by Friday when I hadn't recieved any books. Until I stopped by the magic shelf at work and came across this:

Wings by Aprilynne Pike
I have been wanting to read this book like crazy and have heard such great things that finding it at work totally made my day! I'll have to read it soon because several of my co-workers are wanting to read it too.

From the author's site: "Aprilynne Pike's Wings is the first of four books about a seemingly ordinary girl named Laurel who discovers she is a faerie sent among humans to guard the gateway to Avalon. When Laurel is thrust into the midst of a centuries-old battle between faeries and trolls, she's torn between a human and a faerie love, as well as her loyalties to each world. In this extraordinary tale of magic and intrigue, romance and danger, everything you thought you knew about faeries will be changed forever. Coming from HarperTeen May 5, 2009!"

Yeah, I'm super excited!!!:)

How was your week-any great books in your mailbox?

Wow, great find! I could never work in a library or bookstore (although I'd love to) because I would spend all of my time reading the books and looking for more. I would get lost for hours!
