About Me

My Photo
I am a youth services librarian, which means I work with ages birth-18. I love being asked about great books to read! When I'm not found with a book in my hands I'm most likely playing board games. The opinions and content of this blog are my own and are not that of my library system. My blog content is my own and not that of any committee or organization I'm involved in. A Note to Authors/Publishers: I am not currently accepting new titles to review at this time. I would be happy to read and review your book. If I you have a book that you would like to share with me, please contact me at greenbeanteenqueen (at) gmail (dot) com.

In My Mailbox

Thanks to the awesome Story Siren for starting this!:)

I was going to be all pretty and get book covers and summaries, and then I had a crazy week and ended up with 19 books this week (which is a lot for me!)! So you'll just have to be happy with titles and links. Here's what I got:

In the Mail:

Herbert's Wormhole by Peter Nelson and Rohitash Rao (I got this from HarperChildren's First Look-yay!)

Water Steps by A. LaFaye-I got a review copy of this one earlier, but the wonderful people at Mikweed sent me a finished copy of the book-thanks!

Suddenly Supernatural: Scardey Cat by Elizabeth Cody Kimmel-School Spirit, the first in this series, was one of the first books I reviewed for TeensReadToo.com!

The ABC's of Kissing Boys by Tina Ferraro
The Diamonds by Ted Michael
Highway to Hell (Maggie Quinn) by Rosemary Clement Moore
-These all came from the publisher for review. I haven't read any of the other Maggie Quinn books-do I need to read them in order?

The Truth About Forever, Just Listen, This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen-I won these from Elizabeth Scott's Something Maybe Countdown. Thanks Elizabeth!

The Ones I Bought:
Dust of 100 Dogs by A.S. King-I ordered it off Amazon and it arrived this week. I can't wait to read it!

Something, Maybe by Elizabeth Scott-I can't wait to read this one!

If I Stay by Gayle Forman-I was thrilled when my Borders had this one in early!

Milkrun by Sarah Mlynowski-this is one of her adult titles, but I've seen it popping up with a new cover in YA. I found it at my local used book store.

Cosmo Bedside Quiz Book-Oops, how did that get in there?:) Another local bookstore find that was too fun to pass up for a girls night out!

From the Library:Bold

Amarenth Enchantment by Julie Berry-Our library copies of this one came in faster than I expected so I did a happy dance when this came across my desk.

The Elite by Jennifer Banash-Yes, I will finally catch up with you all and read this!

Save the Date by Tamara Summers-A random library find, but with my upcoming wedding, I thought a wedding book would be fun.

Natural Born Charmer by Susan Elizabeth Phillips-I've heard from several people that SEP is hilarious, so I'm giving her books a try. (Not YA though)

Dogs and Goddessess by Jennifer Crusie, Anne Stewart, Lani Diane Rich-for book club...yep, my book club rocks!
