-Vanessa Hudgens has been cast in Beastly, based on Alex Flinn's novel. She's not exactly what I pictured, but I'll think she'll do a great job. Alex Pettyfer, who I know as Alex Rider in the Stormbreaker movie but was also in Wild Child with Emma Roberts, is rumored to be Kyle, the beast character. I just hope they do a good job with this movie!
-Catherine Keener, of The 40-Year-Old Virgin will be playing Percy's mom Sally in the upcoming movie version of The Lightning Thief. I love this casting choice and am getting really excited for the movie!
-A movie version of the novel, The Heartbreakers by Pamela Wells has been optioned and will be renamed Rules of Dating for Teenage Girls. I haven't read this book yet, but it sounds fun!

I love that there are so many YA based movies coming out. And I have Beastly in my TBR pile so this is perfect timing for me.
