Exciting Library News

The month of May is a very busy one for me in the library world because I'm spending all of time promoting the summer reading program and visiting schools. I found out today that I will be getting to talk to all the students at one of our local middle schools. This is super exciting because I've never been able to get into this school before, and this could really give a big push to our teen summer reading programs! Yay!:)

I spent Monday morning talking to 7th graders at another middle school and they were lots of fun. I booktalked The ABC's of Kissing Boys by Tina Ferraro and that was the biggest hit out of all the books I took with me. Great title for booktalking, Tina! I had to laugh because the boys kept asking me where their kissing book was and I told them they would just have to read the book too! I've had several students from my visit on Monday already in the library, which is really cool.

Alright, I'll be back to reviewing soon-I hope to post my review of The Boyfriend List Audiobook later today. I just had to share my exciting news!:)

When new girl Eleanor sits next to Park on the bus, they don't want anything to do with each other. But over the course of the school year, things change. GreenBeanTeenQueen Says: Have you ever had a book sit on your shelf that you've heard so much hype about? And you think that books sounds like it would be right up your alley, but you're in a reading slump and you're afraid to give it a try unless it fails? I knew Eleanor and Park sounded like my perfect book, but I was in such an after committee slump that I even though I knew this book would help, I just didn't want to be disappointed. I should have known better because Eleanor and Park was perfect and everything that I had hoped it wou

Post Downton Abbey Reading List

Downton Abbey is over (with a shocking and frustrating ending!) and now I'm suffering Downton Abbey withdrawal. I've got a reading list full of books that I hope will satisfy my post-Downton Abbey cravings and I thought I'd share what's in my pile and get suggestions for other after Downton reads. Here's what I hope to be reading this year (a mix of YA and adult titles):                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  A couple Julian Fellowes reads:                And a few re-reads:                    Edited to add: What's on your Post-Downton Abbey reading list?
