About Me

My Photo
I am a youth services librarian, which means I work with ages birth-18. I love being asked about great books to read! When I'm not found with a book in my hands I'm most likely playing board games. The opinions and content of this blog are my own and are not that of my library system. My blog content is my own and not that of any committee or organization I'm involved in. A Note to Authors/Publishers: I am not currently accepting new titles to review at this time. I would be happy to read and review your book. If I you have a book that you would like to share with me, please contact me at greenbeanteenqueen (at) gmail (dot) com.

In My Mailbox-or I did lots of book shopping!!

Thanks to The Story Siren for starting this meme!

I only got one book officially in my mailbox:

Slept Away by Julie Kraut

From work:

Don't Judge a Girl by her Cover by Ally Carter-I actually picked this one up a couple of weeks ago, I don't think I posted it. I was pretty excited to find we'd gotten a copy of this one!

This week was the Scholastic Book Sale Warehouse sale, which is always a dangerous place for me to go. The one here was much smaller than the one my mom takes me to in Kansas, which was a good thing because I didn't as many as I could have. But I still got a lot!

Savvy by Ingrid Law

Death By Bikini by Linda Gerber

Memoirs of A Teenage Amnesiac by Gabrielle Zevin

Beastly by Alex Flinn

Popular Vote by Micol Ostow

The Star of Kazan by Eva Ibbotson

A Crooked Kind of Perfect by Linda Urban-I also got a second copy for my friend Emily

The Secret Identity of Devon Delaney by Lauren Barnholdt-another one I got a second copy for Emily

Dodger and Me by Jordan Sonnenblick-for Emily

I also got a cookbook all about Grilled Cheese-yum, a book on the outdoors for my dad, and a book of sports crosswords from my husband.

Then, on top of all that, I went to Barnes and Noble last night to book stalk Sarah Ockler's book Twenty Boy Summer which has escaped into the wild early. And sure enough, it was there! Sarah told me I'd found the first sighting out of NY, which made me feel pretty good about Missouri-I don't usually think we're that cool! And you can't leave a bookstore with only one book, so I bought:

Twenty Boy Summer by Sarah Ockler

Lovestruck Summer by Melissa Walker

And if I can, I'm going to try to stop by the new HUGE Barnes and Noble they opened at the mall near my parent's house since I'm going there this weekend, which means more books for next week!!

Haha, yeah Missouri usually isn't cool. Now I'm thinking I need to make a trip to B&N.

Awesome week!

Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac is just SO good. Have you read Elsewhere, by the same author? Beautiful books to read. Happy reading!
