About Me

My Photo
I am a youth services librarian, which means I work with ages birth-18. I love being asked about great books to read! When I'm not found with a book in my hands I'm most likely playing board games. The opinions and content of this blog are my own and are not that of my library system. My blog content is my own and not that of any committee or organization I'm involved in. A Note to Authors/Publishers: I am not currently accepting new titles to review at this time. I would be happy to read and review your book. If I you have a book that you would like to share with me, please contact me at greenbeanteenqueen (at) gmail (dot) com.

In My Mailbox

In My Mailbox is hosted by The Story Siren. Since I was at ALA at the start of the week, most of my posts this week have been ALA re-caps. I did post a discussion about bloggers and librarians on Friday, so if you haven't checked it out, head over and let me know your thoughts. I'll be posting an update soon.

So when I got back to work on Thursday I wasn't really expecting much to be in my mailbox so I very surprised to see it overflowing!
This week I got:

After by Amy Efaw
Lipstick Apology by Jennifer Jabaley
Fire by Kristin Cashore
So Punk Rock and Other Ways to Disapoint Your Mother by Micol Ostow and David Ostow
Busted Confessions of an Accidental Player by Antony John (A Missouri Author!)
The Heights by Brian James
Fairy School Dropout by Meredith Badger
Ava Tree and the Wishes Three by Jeanne Betancourt
Dodger for President by Jordan Sonnenblick
Mighty Casey by James Preller
Moonrise by Marilee Brothers
-Thank you to all the publishers who sent me these!
The Ruby Key by Holly Lisle-won from Goodreads

I picked up Scott Pilgrim Volumes 2-5 from the library which I can't wait to read.
I also picked up the audiobook of Carter Finally Gets It by Brent Crawford, which is hysterical! I also had a handful of other holds to pick up, but I'm not sure I'm going to be able to read them in the next three weeks since my loot from ALA and my mailbox this week was so huge. I need a vacation just to read now!:)

Waiting anxiously for FIRE to be released! So excited! Lucky you. :)

The Ruby Key is one I have been lusting after for a while, but I didn't want to buy it in hard cover and now that it's in pb my stupid store doesn't have it in stock. Argh. :)
