Some cool stuff going on this week!
Stephenie Meyer's The Host is heading to the big screen. I still haven't read this one, but at book club last night, several members commented they weren't sure how well this one would translate to film, since two characters share a body.
My favorite news of the week: Diablo Cody, Oscar winning writer for Juno, will be penning a script for a new Sweet Valley High movie. This is just too much fun to think about. Jessica and Elizabeth need an update and I think the script could end up being hilarious.
I've been watching The Vampire Diaries on CW. I think it has potential, but it just hasn't gotten there yet. But CW must think the same thing, because they've ordered nine more episodes, so I'm hoping the show will get better.
And yay for Glee fans-a full season of Glee goodness has been ordered. I am loving this show and I can't wait for next week's episode with Kristin Chenoweth!:)

I agree with everything except Vampire Diaries bc I haven't gotten around to watching them.
Okay, I literally just squealed at the thought of a Diablo Cody penned Sweet Valley High movie. :)
Andrea-Vampire Diaries is ok, it's just not winning me over.

Interesting about The Host. I enjoyed the book quite a bit, and it has potential to be a great movie if done correctly. It will be tricky because of the internal battle between Melanie and Wanda...
I've been watching The Vampire Diaries and have been enjoying it so far. It isn't blowing me away, but it isn't horribly cheesy. I'm trying everything I can to not compare it to the book.
Didn't they make a Sweet Valley High movie already? Or maybe it was a series? I vaguely recall seeing something like this!
And lastly, I really want to share everhyone's infatuation with Glee. I loved the first episode, but the second one was cheesy. I am still giving it a chance. I'm not ready to give up yet! Maybe they just need to play Journey on every episode!

I loved those books, I still have a couple of them on my book shelf. I also used to love that tv show they made, they showed it at Finland when I was younger. I was that they showed it at one channel when I was living at USA a couple of years ago.
I thought Sweet Valley High would never be dusted off from the corners of my memory, but here it is! If Diablo Cody is writing it, the script will be great.
I am psyched for a Sweet Valley High movie! I have almost all the books and still adore that series.
I'm still making up my mind on TVD. Love Glee and am curious to see how SVH will turn out. Was a favorite series when i was growing up.
