About Me

My Photo
I am a tween and teen librarian and I love being asked about great books to read! I also review books for TeensReadToo.com When I'm not found with a book in my hands I'm most likely reading blogs-I'm addicted. The opinions and content of this blog are my own and are not that of my library system. My blog content is my own and not that of any committee or organization I'm involved in. A Note to Authors/Publishers: I would be happy to read and review your book. If I you have a book that you would like to share with me, please contact me at greenbeanteenqueen (at) gmail (dot) com.

In My Mailbox

IMM was started by The Story Siren!

I went shopping at Borders this week, since I got my educator's discount. I could have bought a ton of stuff, but I thought I did a good job not going overboard.

Paper Towns by John Green-I've started this one on audio and it's addictive, so I want the book to keep reading when I'm not in my car.

Magic Kingdom of Landover Vol 1 by Terry Brooks-this one has the first three books in the series in one volume. My husband has heard great things about this series, so we're hoping to read it together.

City of Bones by Cassandra Clare-I picked this one up in paperback and my husband shocked me by saying he's interested in reading it too!

Then in my mailbox I got Shadowland by Alyson Noel for review for TeensReadToo!

I'll wait as patiently as possible to see how you felt about "Shadowland." I'm thoroughly impressed with your Borders restraint.

Happy reading!

The Landover Novels are a lot of fun, it's been a long time since he wrote a new one, but I understand there is one in the works!

I liked Paper Towns but I have to admit not quite as much as Looking for Alaska. Am looking forward to your thoughts on the Mortal Instruments series.

It's been forever since I've commented. I liked City of Bones a lot (and I'm not really into the vampire/ware wolf/daemons thing). I've got the other books in the series on hold at my town library. I've wanted to read Paper Towns too. I finally read Twenty Boy Summer. Good Stuff.

Paper Towns is on my 'on the fence' list. Sounds good though.

My wife just finished City of Bones and is letting me know I need to pick it up next.

I enjoyed the Landover series and I'm rereading it now in prep for reading the newest book that came out. It isn't my favorite set of books, but it is entertaining and thoughtful. I'm interested to see what you think.
