About Me

My Photo
I am a tween and teen librarian and I love being asked about great books to read! I also review books for TeensReadToo.com When I'm not found with a book in my hands I'm most likely reading blogs-I'm addicted. The opinions and content of this blog are my own and are not that of my library system. My blog content is my own and not that of any committee or organization I'm involved in. A Note to Authors/Publishers: I would be happy to read and review your book. If I you have a book that you would like to share with me, please contact me at greenbeanteenqueen (at) gmail (dot) com.

YA Movie News

-The upcoming Monster High by Lisi Harrison is getting all sorts of promotion! There's an interactive website for the Monster High series that's already up and running with webisodes and games, Universal Pictures acquired the rights for a live action movie musical version of the books, an animated special is in the works, tween clothing store Justice will feature accessories starting in July, and Mattel will have a Monster High doll line starting in July. With all this promotion you can expect to be hearing lots about Monster High in the next few months. The first book in the series releases September 1. Thanks to Cynopsis Kids for the news!

-John Stamos is in talks to join the cast of Glee next season as Emma's dentist boyfriend. I really hope this happens because I've loved John Stamos since he was Uncle Jesse and I'd love to see him on Glee! Thanks to Cynopsis for the news.

-Did you see the new trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part One? I can't wait!

I think the John Stamos thing is pretty much a done deal. He's confirmed he's going to be on it and I cannot wait either!

LOVE the DH trailer. Makes me sad for the movie because now it's really true my HP stuff is coming to an end.

I'm really excited for The Deathly Hallows. I LOVED the book and I've enjoyed the movies (not as much as the books, but they would be hard to beat). I have to say though, the trailer doesn't do much for me. Maybe it's hard making a trailer for a two-parter. I hope that they did a good job of splitting the book in two in a way that works well - i.e. two solid films rather than two parts of a whole with an eight month wait in between.

Love the DH trailer! ...and surprisingly, the Monster High site looks really cute. Gonna have to check it out this fall.

John Stamos on Glee? I'm so there!! And, as usual, HARRY POTTER looks amazing. I'm really excited for the movie.
And about Monster High...hmm. I think we should wait until the book comes out before going completely gaga!
