A few years ago, someone asked me whether I read romance novels. Well, I have read a few, and even enjoyed some of them. But I wouldn't consider myself a regular reader of the romance genre, so what I said was, "I don't read romances. I read mysteries for the romance." What I forgot to add was that I read Middle Grade novels for the romance, too. I can hear some of my audience sputtering already. Romance, in stories for 8-12 year olds? Inconceivable! Everybody knows that readers of this age deplore "kissing books". They want action, adventure, stories about pets and fr...
Hmmm... I don't really see it.
ReplyDeleteI kind of prefer the hardcover in this case, too.
Wait, does this mean my series books aren't going to match? Nooo.
ReplyDeleteCool, I love that cover!
ReplyDeleteI totally see it in the paperback for "Prophecy of the Sisters!" You're right, though, she doesn't look the same on the next cover...I think because you can see more of her hair on that one.
ReplyDeleteShe does look like Quinn from "Glee," which is the best show in the world.
ReplyDeleteLa Coccinelle-I like both the HC and PB which is very odd-I don't normally like both!
ReplyDeleteLauren-Yep, they're changing them halfway through-I hate when they don't match.
Sam-Isn't it a cool cover?
Jessica-I'm glad you see it too! I think you're right about the second cover-the hair makes her not look like Quinn.
Atypical Girl-Glee is the greatest show ever-I can't wait for it to come back!!
I love Glee and I am hoping it will be around for awhile. I think the girl on the cover looks a little like Quinn in profile but it wasn't as obvious to me.
ReplyDeleteI actually prever the hardcover for Prophecy of the Sisters. It looks nice and creepy. I haven't read it.
She does look like Quinn.
ReplyDeleteAnd while these covers are gorgeous, now my series won't match! I hate it when that happens.
I can see it for the first book, not really for the second.
ReplyDeleteI like this cover so much better than the hardcover one. I may be in the minority, but I never liked that cover.
ReplyDeleteI definitely see the comparison...
