The kids that liked it said it had action, but for me the plot was slow and dragged too much. The book could have been edited down and I lost interest in the story. I'm sure you've already read this one, but I'm currently reading The Penderwicks. Many young patrons have recommended it to me and so far it definitely lives up to the hype :)
