In the Middle Reading Challenge

Jill at The O.W.L. came up with a great challenge idea. We focus a lot on YA, so she's hosting a middle grade reading challenge. The goal is to read middle grade books throughout the year. I'm going to try and read ten, which is the top level for the challenge. I think I can do it, since I try to keep up with tween reads as well as YA.

I'm not sure what books I'll be adding to the challenge, but I know I'll be starting with The Blue Shoe: A tale of thievery, villainy, sorcery, and shoes by Roderick Townley. (Isn't that a great title?)

    I read more YA than MG, but I want to change that this year. I do enjoy both.

    Ooo, thank you for the link the the MG reading challenge. Not sure if I will officially sign up, but I have been thinking that I ought to read more MG. It seems, like you said, that a lot of the online chatter is focused on YA, and so I hear so much about wonderful YA that that's what I end up reading...

Post Downton Abbey Reading List

Downton Abbey is over (with a shocking and frustrating ending!) and now I'm suffering Downton Abbey withdrawal.
