Romana and Beezus Trailer

Ok, am I the only one who remembers the Sarah Polley TV show of Ramona? I checked them out on VHS (so oldschool, I know) from my library and watched them as a kid. And I loved it. Sarah Polley was Ramona for me. So I'm still not sure I can bet behind this movie, but we'll see, maybe they'll surprise me. What do you think?

  1. I read the books long before the TV series came out. While Sarah Polley was good, I never really felt that she looked the way Ramona was supposed to look (it was probably due to the bad wig). The casting in this new version looks pretty good... at least for Ramona. Beezus looks Hispanic! Oh, well.

It looks like they captured some of the funny scenes in the books, too (like when Ramona crashed through the ceiling). If this movie's been done right, it could be a huge hit.

Post Downton Abbey Reading List

Downton Abbey is over (with a shocking and frustrating ending!) and now I'm suffering Downton Abbey withdrawal. I've got a reading list full of books that I hope will satisfy my post-Downton Abbey cravings and I thought I'd share what's in my pile and get suggestions for other after Downton reads. Here's what I hope to be reading this year (a mix of YA and adult titles):                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  A couple Julian Fellowes reads:                And a few re-reads:                    Edited to add: What's on your Post-Downton Abbey reading list?
