Hunger Games Thresh and Rue



The Hunger Games has cast Thresh and Rue! Dayo Okeniyi and Amandla Stenberg will play the tributes from District 11. What do you think of the casting? I think they look perfect!!

    does the book say they're black? i didn't know that. rue looks sweet enough:) i'm so excited!!! but i will cry when she dies, i will.

    They're perfect! I'm glad that casting stuck to the character descriptions on these and didn't whitewash them.

    From a visual perspective I'd say they got it right this time! I hope she's a good actress, Rue is such an important element of this part of the story. :)

    I'm so interested to see who is cast as Haymitch and Cinna.

    Paper Bird and Little Fairy, I think in the book it mentions she has darker skin(?)...but it's been a while since I read the first one, so don't quote me on that. I kinda imagined her character to be hispanic, but I love their choice for Rue, cause that girl looks so darling. It's really going to drive home how evil the capital is when she plays the part when Rue dies!

    That's the perfect Thresh!

    LF-I didn't catch it at first either when I read it, but yes it does. I'll be bawling when she dies!
