Want It Wednesday

Splendor: A Luxe Novel by Anna Godbersen

Release Date: 10/27/2009

About the Book: I couldn't find anything about it, but this will be the final book in the Luxe series, so it will take place after Envy and hopefully wrap up the way I want!

GreenBeanTeenQueen Says: I love this series, so I can't wait to read this one. I've been really happy with the girls on the past covers for Elizabeth, Penleope and Diana, but this doesn't seem like Lina to me, which is who I'm guessing she's supposes to be. But despite the cover, I can't wait to see what happens!!!

Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

Release Date: 8/1/2009
About the Book: (from Amazon) For years, Grace has watched the wolves in the woods behind her house. One yellow-eyed wolf--her wolf--is a chilling presence she can't seem to live without. Meanwhile, Sam has lived two lives: In winter, the frozen woods, the protection of the pack, and the silent company of a fearless girl. In summer, a few precious months of being human . . . until the cold makes him shift back again.

Now, Grace meets a yellow-eyed boy whose familiarity takes her breath away. It's her wolf. It has to be. But as winter nears, Sam must fight to stay human--or risk losing himself, and Grace, forever.
GreenBeanTeenQueen Says: I have yet to read this author's first novel, Lament: The Faerie Queen's Deception, but really want to after reading some awesome reviews-check out Addicted to Books review! I love the premise for this book too.

When new girl Eleanor sits next to Park on the bus, they don't want anything to do with each other. But over the course of the school year, things change. It starts with comic books and becomes a friendship and a romance that the two will never forget. You never forget your first love. GreenBeanTeenQueen Says: Have you ever had a book sit on your shelf that you've heard so much hype about? And you think that books sounds like it would be right up your alley, but you're in a reading slump and you're afraid to give it a try unless it fails? I knew Eleanor and Park sounded like my perfect book, but I was in such an after committee slump that I even though I knew this book would help, I just didn't want to be disappointed. I should have known better because Eleanor and Park was perfect and everything that I had hoped it wou

Post Downton Abbey Reading List

Downton Abbey is over (with a shocking and frustrating ending!) and now I'm suffering Downton Abbey withdrawal. I've got a reading list full of books that I hope will satisfy my post-Downton Abbey cravings and I thought I'd share what's in my pile and get suggestions for other after Downton reads. Here's what I hope to be reading this year (a mix of YA and adult titles):                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  A couple Julian Fellowes reads:                And a few re-reads:                    Edited to add: What's on your Post-Downton Abbey reading list?
