About Me

My Photo
I am a youth services librarian, which means I work with ages birth-18. I love being asked about great books to read! When I'm not found with a book in my hands I'm most likely playing board games. The opinions and content of this blog are my own and are not that of my library system. My blog content is my own and not that of any committee or organization I'm involved in. A Note to Authors/Publishers: I am not currently accepting new titles to review at this time. I would be happy to read and review your book. If I you have a book that you would like to share with me, please contact me at greenbeanteenqueen (at) gmail (dot) com.

January Reading List

Here's what I was busy reading in January:

1. The Possibilities of Sainthood by Donna Freitas (my review)
2. The Big Splash by Jack D. Ferraiolo (my review)
3. Durinda's Dangers by Lauren Baratz Logsted with Greg and Jackie Logsted (my TeensReadToo.com Review)
4. The Year the Swallows Came Early by Kathryn Fitzmaurice (my review)-watch for an author interview coming soon!!
5. Sleepless by Terri Clark (my review)
6. Sucks to Be Me: The All True Confessions of Mina Hamilton, Teen Vampire, Maybe by Kimberly Pauley (my review)
7. Lyddie by Kathrine Patterson-this one I had to read for class, so I'm not sure if I'll be posting a review, since it is an older title, but I just might. Plus, it still counts, cause I read it in January!:)

So I got seven YA/Tween books read, plus school stuff read, so I'm feeling pretty good. February brings less traveling-yay-which means more reading time, so we'll see if I get more than seven in this short month! What did you read in January?

I read SUCKS TO BE ME, too, and loved it! I'm expecting SLEEPLESS in the mail and should be starting POSSIBILITIES soon! (: Great choices. Sounds like a busy month! (:

I'm going to post my review of Sucks to Be Me sometime today-I really liked it. I loved Sleepless-it was the perfect mix of scariness and romance-my kind of horror book. I hope you enjoy all the books you're reading!:)
