I'm Back and I'm Married!!! (Some Pics Included)

Thank you to everyone for the wonderful wedding wishes! It was a great day, and the rain held off so we could get pictures outside, although it ended up raining the whole week, so the ground was mushy and it was cold, so the actual ceremony was indoors. Everyone had a blast and I got lots of comments on how people loved that books were everywhere! Here's some early pictures-I'll post more when I get them!

It was a pretty geeky day-the ring "bear" wore a Chicago Bears jersey and carried a Star Trek teddy bear and roared down the asile! The boys shuffled down to the Superbowl Shuffle. I walked down the asile to Hedwig's Theme. :)
We started the ceremony off with "mawwage...", my dad said "Make it So" when he asked if he could give me away, the ring ceremony was a re-written version of the Lord of the Rings "one ring to rule them all" speech, we ended with "may you live long and prosper." Full of geektastic fun!!!

The centerpeices were buckets that had pages from books and black and white pictures from tissue paper on them, filled with our bookmark favors. The flowers were made from book pages and ribbons. (Mine was made from Danny and the Dinosaur, the first book I read as a kid.) Our guestbooks were our favorite books placed on each table for guests to sign-these were a blast to read through!

  4. You decided not to go with purple hair for the wedding?

Congratulations! I'm going to add my wishes to those clamoring for BIGGER pics! Your centerpieces and favors sound great, but I can hardly see them.

It must have taken forever to make those flowers. did you do it yourself?

  10. CONGRATULATIONS!!! It sounds like such a wonderful day and truly personal. That's exactly as it should be too. It's your day and it should be all of your favorite things. We had many personal touches for our wedding (we saved lots of money too!) but now 22 years later I think I would have used even more. I can't wait to see more photos of your day. I wish you many years of love and happiness!

  12. That is so awesome! Congratulations! I love all the "geeky" details. It makes me not feel so silly about dressing up as Star Trek characters with my husband when we go to the movie this weekend.

I'm going to go check the second set of pictures now. :)

  17. A marriage of two

    A marriage of two
is for love that is true

    A marriage of two
    is always something new

    A marriage of two
happens sometimes out of the blue

    A marriage of two
is worth it when its due

    A marriage of two
    is a marriage of trust
    Many can find themselves lost
It can be an expensive cost

    They are only very few
    who have a clue
    of when love accrues

    A marriage of two
    is about love making
    It is not about
    money raking

    A marriage of two
    can be bad
    A marriage of two
    can be sad
You should only be glad if

is for love that is true

When new girl Eleanor sits next to Park on the bus, they don't want anything to do with each other. But over the course of the school year, things change. It starts with comic books and becomes a friendship and a romance that the two will never forget. You never forget your first love. GreenBeanTeenQueen Says: Have you ever had a book sit on your shelf that you've heard so much hype about? And you think that books sounds like it would be right up your alley, but you're in a reading slump and you're afraid to give it a try unless it fails? Post Downton Abbey Reading List

Downton Abbey is over (with a shocking and frustrating ending!) and now I'm suffering Downton Abbey withdrawal. I've got a reading list full of books that I hope will satisfy my post-Downton Abbey cravings and I thought I'd share what's in my pile and get suggestions for other after Downton reads. Here's what I hope to be reading this year (a mix of YA and adult titles):                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  A couple Julian Fellowes reads:                And a few re-reads:                    Edited to add: What's on your Post-Downton Abbey reading list?
